Serena Williams was one point away from winning the US Open but her mouth lost her that one point.
After a linesman call of a foot fault on Serena she went ballistic and cursed the official out…while banging her racket. According to on lookers the Linesman had been calling foul foot faults all throughout the match and we guess this one took Serena over the edge:
Instead of stepping to the baseline to serve again, Williams went over and shouted and cursed at the line judge, pointing at her and thrusting the ball toward her.
“If I could, I would take this … ball and shove it down your … throat,” Williams said. She continued yelling at the line judge, and went back over, shaking her racket in the official’s direction.
In a press conference Serena explained her behavior by stating she thought the official said they would take her life, but later she apologized stating it was a huge misunderstanding. Nothing loss on Serena she has enough wins under her belt to last a lifetime, it was good entertainment
to see her lash out.
